Irene Newman continued her brand building and entrepreneurial streak at Lord & Taylor, starting as Vice President of Private Brands, under CCO and Creative Director Marie Holman-Rao. From the ground up she built a team overseeing design, fabric, color, production, and marketing. The 424 FIFTH | Lord & Taylor collection was launched in the Spring of 2014. The elevated line of women’s apparel and accessories offered customers both essential “must have” pieces for day to evening, as well as statement fashion pieces. #letstylereign
The 424 FIFTH | Lord & Taylor collection was vibrant, smart, witty, pulled together, smart, confident and energetic. Beautiful yet durable fabrics such as leather, suede, and cashmere were used to create luxurious looks, at affordable price points. Retail prices ranged from $30 for basic accessories and tops to $300 for ornate, over the top statement fashion pieces. The collection sold exclusively in North America at Hudson’s Bay and Lord & Taylor.
